Introduction

At HOPE, there are many ways you can reap the rewards of helping our students discover their abilities and grab the reins of life.  You can become a student or refer a student.  You can volunteer.  Although our greatest volunteer need is for volunteers in lessons, many other opportunities are available, from hauling horses to office work to fundraising events. You can also sponsor a student or a horse.

Refer or Become a Student

HOPE offers sessions conducted by PATH International certified instructors who encourage students to progress as far as they safely can.  Because each lesson is specifically designed to enhance each student’s ABILITIES rather than disabilities, each student is better able to reach his or her own goals.  Although we do offer private lessons as needed, most students benefit from the social interactions and peer modeling they experience in group lessons.  Students start as young as age four and there is NO MAXIMUM age limit!  Scholarships are available for those meeting financial criteria. For more information on referring or becoming a student fill out the form below

New Students

At HOPE we offer new students the opportunity to sign up for lessons one-week after returning students. If you are interested in becoming a HOPE student please fill out the information form below. HOPE’s Head Instructor will contact you to do an initial interview over the phone. During the interview you will learn about the benefits offered and answers to any questions that you may have. After the interview you will receive a new student packet to fill out.

We need information in order to design the best EAA lesson for each student’s circumstances. Consequently, for NEW STUDENTS (but not returning students) there is a fair amount of paperwork. The most time-consuming is the form to be completed and signed by the student’s physician. If the physician has seen the student recently, he or she may sign the form without the need for an appointment. However, in many cases, an appointment is necessary, so please allow enough time so you can get the paperwork to HOPE by the registration deadline.

Returning Students

Every quarter HOPE looks forward to seeing returning students. We encourage our current students to keep taking sessions at HOPE. Taking time off may have a huge impact on the progress that the student has made. Returning students must fill out the registration form and return it by the due date. It is imperative for returning students to turn in their paperwork on time to allow new students the opportunity to take lessons at HOPE.

Volunteering

HOPE could not exist without volunteers.  No horse experience or knowledge of disabilities is required because we provide training.  If you are unable to help with sessions, there are many other volunteer opportunities.  We will work to find the one that is most rewarding for you! Our volunteers are loving folks who enrich others' lives.  Remember:  Without volunteers, there would be no HOPE". Learning about Sponsorships

There are many ways you can support HOPE and its students. Two of the most rewarding ways are by sponsoring a HOPE student and sponsoring a HOPE horse. For more information on sponsorships fill out the form below:
